Message The problem with them is they progressively dim throughout their lifespan. I'm not sure how big of an issue this will create but I'd rather find out from someone else first. I love everything else about them - lower current draw which would be great especially if you're using the Taurus e-fan or a beefed up sound system. The light output (lumens) will still be better than stock halogens but not as good as HID's (though the difference may be negligible). As said below, their cutoff is much more crisp than HID's and color production is more, shall we say, "accurate" than HID's.

The LED's come with an external cooling fan which are warrantied but I believe those will be a non-issue as far as longevity is concerned. They still operate even when totally submerged in water. I skipped the group buy to hear long-term results first..there aren't many reviews out there as this is a very new product in the aftermarket world, though I have total confidence in Cree's quality..they make a very good product.
